I am Melissa Robinson-Brown, PhD and I am a licensed clinical psychologist who is completely obsessed with helping women to feel like the badasses they were truly meant to be…PERIOD!
I'm a whole lot of other things with many roles but I would describe myself as someone who has found a way to be successful and truly happy while being myself. However, my life hasn't always been this way. In the past I've struggled with identity issues and trying to fit in to what societal norms said I needed to be. I was doing everything right, going down the path that was set before me. Only there was one big problem... Trying to fit in, in order to be deemed as "good enough" just wasn't working for me. Not only was I unhappy, but I was exhausted with trying to keep up. Until one day I thought to myself enough is enough! Today I can say that I get to experience a feeling that some women never get to know because they are unaware that it's possible to build a life that is as unique as they are. That is why I am on a mission to help women discover the freedom and deep rooted sense of happiness, peace, acceptance that can only come, when you honor your authentic self. I counsel, I coach and I speak women's empowerment because I can, I do it because it makes me happy. I do it because I believe in not just teaching my girls, but showing them while they are young what it looks like to be brave and forge your own path in life. I want them to know that the possibilities are limitless for them and no matter who or what they decide to do with their lives, they are beautiful! I want every women to know this and embody this sense of freedom for themselves too! For me this looks like going against the grain sometimes, doing things my way! I'm definitely a badass and I show up fully as myself, for myself... in all of my roles. |
Some of those roles include:
I enjoy...
Eating healthy, being physically fit, bold vibrant colors, traveling, empowering women and most of all spending time with my family. I also love a good challenge... Want to see me in action? Follow me on social media. |
